Tubetes
We have switched the conventional bag, used in the creation of coffee plant nurseries to a technique called Tubete.
Tubetes, are plastic tubes that are reusable for up to twenty years. They are built with a hole on the bottom, with the intention of forcing the roots of the plant to come out. Once the roots come out, they are pruned by direct contact to sunlight.
This pruning process, called photo-pruning stimulates root growth, thus creating a plant with better absorption capacity.
