Today, Finca El Faro is proud of being part of Starbucks C.A.F.E. Practices Program; a program with which we identify completely. For the past seven years we have committed ourselves to follow a code of standards very much like the one put forward by Starbucks.

We believe that the future of the coffee industry and the prosperity of those involved rely on such a code. In the history of coffee cultivation in Guatemala and perhaps the entire world, no government or private enterprise has been capable of creating a long term business model in which everyone involved benefits.

We are lucky to have a company like Starbucks in the industry, promoting and stimulating farmers, manufactures and exporters, through pricing to venerate their code.
